Messaging used in Workflow must be created directly inside the workflow interface. 

Creating an Email Message in Workflow

Follow the steps below to create a brand new email directly in Workflow. 

   1. Drag an email element from the Channel section to the desired location on the canvas
   2. Click the email element to open the properties menu
   3. Name the step
   4. Select the list a message is associated with
TIP: Selecting a list allows you to use the segmentation fields saved on the specific list
    5. Select Create Message 

TIP: Name your workflow prior to creating messages
    6. Specify your message settings, including: 

  • Message Name
  • From Name
  • From Address 
  • Subject Line
  • Preheader 
  • Google Analytics
  • Listrak Conversion Analytics 

   7. Build your message using Listrak Composer or HTML
TIP: You have access to all elements related to messages, including saved content, the media library, and dynamic content. 

   8. Select Create Workflow Email Message in the bottom right
   9. Repeat the steps above for additional messages
TIP: If your messages are similar use the duplicate feature available when the message is selected


   10. Save the workflow. 

Move an message from an automated campaign into Workflow

Follow the steps below to copy a message from an existing Conductor conversation into Workflow. 

  1. Drag the email element from the Channel section to the desired location on the canvas
  2. Click the element to open the properties menu
  3. Name the step, if desired
  4. Click Select a Message from the Copy a Message from Conductor box
  5. Select the list your Conductor conversation is saved to
  6. Select the conversation
  7. Choose the message to copy from the conversation. Messages are sorted by the thread they currently are saved to in Conductor
  8. Then click the select button

NOTE: Saved messages are grouped by the name of the trigger step of the Conductor thread they are saved in

Creating an SMS Message in Workflow 

  1. Drag the SMS element from the Channel section to the desired location on the        canvas
   2. Click the element to open the properties menu
   3. Name the step
   4. Select the short code
   5. Turn on the send restriction, if desired
   6. Select Create Message

   7. Specify your message settings, including 

  • Message Name 
  • List
  • Google Analytics 

   8. Specify the message content
TIP: If creating a Shopping Cart Abandonment message incorporate the workflow personalization information
   9. Select Create Workflow SMS Message
   10. Repeat the steps above for additional messages
TIP: If your messages are similar use the duplicate feature available when the message is selected
   11. Save the workflow
