Creating an Email Message in Journey Hub
💡 Messaging used in Journey Hub can be created directly inside the interface or copied from another source in Listrak, such as a Conductor Conversation or Saved Message.
Follow the steps below to create a brand new email directly in Journey Hub.
This option is best for advanced journeys that populate cart or order details.
Drag an email element from the Channel section to the desired location on the canvas
Click the email element to open the properties menu
Name the step
Select the list a message is associated with
💡 Selecting a list allows you to use the segmentation fields saved on the specific list.
Select Create Message. You will be redirected to the message authoring page.
Specify your message settings, including:
Message Name
From Name
From Address
Subject Line
Preheader
Google Analytics
Listrak Conversion Analytics
Build your message using Listrak Composer or HTML.
You have access to all elements related to messages, including saved content, the media library, and dynamic content.

If desired, give your message a name and click Save As to save your message for future use. The message will be saved under Messages > View Saved Emails on the list you selected in step #4.
Select Create Journey Email Message in the bottom right.
(Optional) turn on the Message Delivery Settings toggle.
This setting allows you to only send messages during a specific time. Messages that would be sent outside the selected time will be held until the time range is reached.
If using Message Delivery Settings, check the Time Zone Optimized checkbox, if desired.
💡 Time Zone Optimization uses a contact's IP address to determine their location and send messages during the time range in their time zone. If a contact's time zone cannot be determined Eastern Time will be used.
Depending on the email you are creating, you can remove items from the data-driven section by adjusting the Order Data Filter section. (Not visible in all journeys)
Repeat the steps above for additional messages.
💡 If your messages are similar use the duplicate feature available when the message is selected
Save the journey.
Copy an email message into Journey Hub
Follow the steps below to copy an email message from an existing Conductor conversation or Saved Message into Journey Hub. Follow steps 1-4 for all messages and then the steps based on where your messages are saved.
Drag the email element from the Channel section to the desired location on the canvas.
Click the element to open the properties menu.
Name the step, if desired.
Click Select a Message from the Copy a Message box.
💡 Use the Message Delivery Time Settings to only send messages during a set timeframe. Messages that are triggered outside of this timeframe will be held and sent when that timeframe is reached.
Copy a Conductor Message
Follow the steps below if the message you wish to copy is in Listrak Conductor
Select Conductor from the Message Source.
Select the list your Conductor conversation is saved to.
Select the conversation.
Choose the message to copy from the conversation. Messages are sorted by the thread they currently are saved to in Conductor.
Then click the select button.
💡 Messages are grouped by the name of the trigger step of the Conductor thread they are saved in
Copy a Saved Message
Follow the steps below if the message you wish to copy is a message saved on a list
Select Saved Message from the Message Source.
Select the list
Choose the message to copy. Messages are grouped by the Campaign Name given to the message when it was created.
💡 The twenty-five most recent messages will be displayed. Click the prompt at the bottom of the dropdown to view all messages. Type in the Select Message input box to search for a message by Subject Line or Campaign.
8. Then click the select button.
Creating an SMS or MMS Message in Journey Hub
Drag the SMS element from the Channel section to the desired location on the canvas.
Name the step.
Select the short code.
(Optional) Turn on the Message Delivery Settings.
This setting allows you to only send messages during a specific time. Messages that would be sent outside the selected time will be held until the time range is reached.
If using Message Delivery Settings, check the Time Zone Optimized checkbox, if desired.

Select Create Message.
Select a list.
Specify your message settings, including:
Campaign Type
Listrak Analytics
Google Analytics
Specify the message content.
💡 If creating a Shopping Cart Abandonment message
Incorporate the journey personalization information. Any tracking applied to an email or SMS message will be appended to variable tags that include links.
Cart reminder messages must include STOP to opt-out instructions.

Use the attach file option to include a static image, dynamic image, emoji, or other file in an MMS message. Learn more about attaching files to an MMS message.
Select Create Journey Message.
Repeat the steps above for additional messages.

Creating a Web Browser Push Message in Journey Hub
Drag the Web Push element from the Channel section to the desired location on the canvas.
Name the step.
Select the merchant associated with Web Push notifications.
(Optional) Turn on the Message Delivery Settings.
This setting allows you to only send messages during a specific time. Messages that would be sent outside the selected time will be held until the time range is reached.
If using Message Delivery Settings, check the Time Zone Optimized checkbox, if desired.
💡 Time Zone Optimization uses a contact's IP address to determine their location and send messages during the time range in their time zone.
Select Create Message.
Give the message a title. This is used as the headline of the push message.
Add the content of the message.
💡 The character count varies from Browser to Browser.
If using, add the Coupon Tag to the message by pasting it into the body of the message where desired.
💡 The tag is configured in the Journey Hub Coupon element.
Add Personalization
⚠️ An optional feature that is only available in Advanced Abandonment Journeys.
Select the type of personalization you want to feature from the dropdown.
For example - If the tag is referencing the carted item [[Journey.Cart.Item.ImageURL]], move the tag from the from the message body and place it in the Banner Image URL input field.
Enter the destination URL, this is the landing page the user will be directed to when the message body is clicked. This will NOT be appear on the web push message.
Enter the icon image URL* that will display within the message body.
Enter the banner image URL* of the image that will display above the message body.
💡 Both the icon and banner images can be uploaded to Listrak's media library or stored externally.
Up to two more actions (optional) can be added by clicking the Add additional actions checkbox. These appear as clickable buttons in the message body.
Enter a button name in the action text field.
Enter the destination URL.
⚠️ The buttons will only appear if the web push notification is presented in a Chrome browser.
Enter values for Google Analytics tracking.
Campaign Name (optional) - utm_campaign=[UserCustomized]
Campaign Version (optional) - utm_content=[UserCustomized]
The UTM source, medium, and the link terms are automatically set, see below for details:
