SMS QR Code Keyword Acquisition

Use a QR code for a quick, scannable way to acquire new subscribers into your SMS program. Add QR codes to posters, flyers, banners, or Point of Sale signage to maximize your reach to your customers. QR codes also make a great addition to signage or handouts at trade shows or popup shops. These codes can be generated in the Listrak platform or via a free QR code generator found online.

Create a Keyword QR Code in the Listrak Platform

To create a Keyword QR code navigate to Solutions > Solutions Barcode & QR Code Generator > Static Code tab.

  1. Select QR Code from the dropdown.

  2. Enter the details of your SMS signup using the format SMSTO:Sendercode:Keyword into the Static Code input field. This can be done for either a sender code or TFN.

    Example 1: Setting up a QR Code for the keyword BREW to subscribe to sender code 65840, it would be:

    SMSTO:65840:BREW

    Example 2: Setting up a QR Code for the keyword DEMO to subscribe to a Toll-free number 1-877-889-2337, it would be:

    SMSTO:18775592337:DEMO

  3. Configure the barcode styling options - optional.

  4. Select No To Show Text Below Barcode.

  5. Download the image to your desktop.

    1. Right click the cursor over the QR Code > select Save Image As...

      1. Choose the image storage location.

      2. Give the QR Code file a name.

      3. Click Save.

  6. Add the QR Code to instore signage or print materials to start promoting the Keyword campaign.

Create a Keyword QR Code using a free QR generator

This example is using the QR Code Generator powered by bitly.

  1. Click the SMS icon at the top of page.

  2. Enter the Sender code in the Number field.

  3. Enter the Keyword in the Message field.

    For example:

  4. Click Generate QR Code.

  5. Click Download JPG.
