Message History Report

Learn how to use the Message History Report to view analytics for your marketing message sends.

The Message History Report provides an overview of all broadcast messages sent (messages sent to your full list or a subset of your list using Listrak's filtering capabilities). The Message History Report displays any broadcast messages sent from the list you are currently viewing.

The Message History Report can be found under Analytics > Message Analytics Message History.

Use the pre-set date range selector or calendar icon to select which messages to view by narrowing down by send date. You can further narrow the results by only displaying results for specific campaigns. These filters can be applied at the bottom of the page. Campaigns are based on the campaign set on the message authoring page. You can also choose to displays test messages in the report by checking the show test checkbox.

Message Statistics

You will see each message grouped in it's own chart.

The following are displayed

  • Message Preview: Provides a quick view of the message. Click on the green square under the preview to see the entire message

  • Subject Line: The subject line of the sent message

    • A mutipass icon (MP in a circle), split test icon (A/B), or test icon (beaker) may appear in front of the subject to indicate the message type

  • Campaign: The value that appears in the campaign selector in the Message Settings when creating a message

  • Message Send Date: The date the message was sent

  • Message Send Time: The time the message was sent. The default time will appear for optimized messages

  • # of messages sent: The total number of message sent

  • # of messages delivered: The number of messages that arrived in a contact's inbox

  • Unique Clickers: The total number of contacts who clicked on one more more links in a message. Each contact is counted once regardless of how many links clicked

  • Total Revenue: The total revenue generated by contacts who last clicked on the specific email prior to making a purchase. Listrak's default revenue attribution window is 30 days after last click

  • Open Rate: The percentage of emails that were opened, calculated by dividing the number of opens by the number delivered

  • Conversion Rate: Calculated by dividing the number of conversions by the number of visits

  • Read Rate: The percentage of emails read, calculated by dividing the reads by the number of emails delivered

  • # of Opens: The number of emails opened. An open is calculated when a contact loads the images in an email or clicks through a link without loading images

  • Click Rate: The percentage of contacts who clicked through an email, calculated by dividing total clicks by messages delivered

  • Average Order Value (AOV): Average order value, or the average amount spent on conversions in a message. Calculated by dividing total revenue by number of orders

  • Click to Open Rate (CTOR): Click-to-open rate is the percentage of contacts who clicked through an email after opening, calculated by dividing total clicks by the number of opens

  • Cost per 1000 messages: A calculation that shows the amount of revenue generated by the message for every 1000 messages sent. Calculated by dividing the number of messages sent by 1000 and then dividing revenue by the result


Additional Reporting

Under the preview five icons allow you to access additional reporting capabilities.

  • Purple Graph Icon: This icon opens the Message Dashboard, which includes metrics such as engagement metrics by device type and link reporting.

  • Link Icon: This icon opens the link editor. Inputting a new link URL will create a re-direct to the new location.

  • Globe Icon: This icon opens the map, which displays information about where contacts were located when opening, reading, or clicking through an email.

  • Magnifying Glass Icon: This icon opens the visual tracking, which provides a numerical or heat map option to view how contacts clicked through the different sections.

  • Browser Icon: This icon opens a message preview. This provides the same functionality as the preview in a message where you can view a desktop view, mobile view, or set a custom width.
