Using the Pivot Function in Listrak CRM
Updated over 2 years ago

The pivot function in Listrak CRM allows you to further explore your data by subdividing the data. Using a pivot in an a CRM tile allows you to see trends and patterns across your data. One of the most common pivot types is to pivot on a date field, such as Order Year, to allow you to see trends over time.

Insights gained by creating pivot tiles can influence your marketing campaigns, such as knowing when your order spikes tend to occur or if contacts behavior differs based on characteristics in their profile.

Pivot tiles can be created in both the Contact and Audience History Explores in Listrak CRM. Most dimensions can be pivoted in data. Measures cannot be used as a pivot, but can be used as a data point in a pivot visualization.

In the pivot example below, pivoting on order year allows you to see trends about which order sources your contacts are using year over year.

Use the process below to create any pivot tile by using data points relevant to the insights you are looking to gain.

  1. In the Orders section or Search Bar find Order Date Year

  2. Hover over the data and select Pivot

  3. In the Orders section add Order Source and the Orders Count measure to the data

  4. Select Run from the top right corner

In this example, the visualization displays the number of orders placed broken down by order source. Pivoting on order year allows you to further group your data by subdividing order counts per year.

Congratulations you now know how to create pivot tiles in Listrak CRM! You can now use this technique to look for trends across orders, subscriptions, based on profile information, or any other CRM data point to help you achieve your goals.
