Learn how to set up branding for your DNS Made Easy DNS account.

Adding the Listrak Domain Alias Branding Record

  1. Select the DNS Menu.

  2. Select the Managed DNS option.

  3. Select a domain from the Recently Updated Domains box or you can type the name of the domain in the textbox on the Select Domain tab.

  4. Under the CNAME Records section, click on the plus (+) sign to add a new record:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend "link"

    2. Alias to: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be customers.esp1.co.

      ⚠️ The period after esp1.co is needed in order to point to another external domain.

    3. TTL:Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

    4. GTD Region: If you have this option, you can just leave it set to default for Listrak.

  5. Click Submit.

Adding the Google Postmaster Tools Record

  1. Select the DNS Menu.

  2. Select the Managed DNS option.

  3. Select a domain from the Recently Updated Domains box or you can type the name of the domain in the textbox on the Select Domain tab.

  4. Under the CNAME Records section, click on the plus (+) sign to add a new record:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the CNAME Name.

      ⚠️ The period after this name is needed in order to point to another external domain.

    2. Alias to: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the CNAME Alias to name.

      ⚠️ The period after: "esp1.co" is needed in order to point to another external domain.

    3. TTL: “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

    4. GTD Region If you have this option, you can just leave it set to default for Listrak.

  5. Click Submit.

Adding the Listrak Bounce Domain Record

  1. Select the DNS Menu.

  2. Select the Managed DNS option.

  3. Select a domain from the Recently Updated Domains box or you can type the name of the domain in the textbox on the Select Domain tab.

  4. Under the MX Records section, click on the plus (+) sign to add a new record:

    1. Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend "bounce"

      ⚠️ Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain. If it is not, you may experience issues with receiving emails on your internal network

    2. Server: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be "bounce.esp1.co."

      ⚠️ The period after "esp1.co" is needed in order to point to another external domain.

    3. MX Level: Enter the priority you want to assign to the mail server. For Listrak, we recommend a priority of 10.

    4. TTL: “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Submit.

Adding the Listrak SPF Branding Record

  1. Select the DNS Menu.

  2. Select the Managed DNS option.

  3. Select a domain from the Recently Updated Domains box or you can type the name of the domain in the textbox on the Select Domain tab.

  4. Under the TXT Records section, click on the plus (+) sign to add a new record.

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend "bounce"

    2. Value: Enter the host name that the alias from the above step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be "v=spf1 include:esp1.co -all"

      ⚠️ Please note that the double quotes around TXT values in DNS Made Easy are needed.

    3. TTL: “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Submit.

Adding the Listrak DKIM Branding Record

  1. Select the DNS Menu.

  2. Select the Managed DNS option.

  3. Select a domain from the Recently Updated Domains box or you can type the name of the domain in the textbox on the Select Domain tab.

  4. Under the TXT Records section, click on the plus (+) sign to add a new record:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain for the TXT record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT Name and will most likely be "key1._domainkey"

    2. Value: Enter the value you want to assign to the record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT value.

      ⚠️ Please note that the double quotes around TXT values in DNS Made Easy are needed.

    3. TTL: “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  5. Click Submit.

Creating a Yahoo Feedback Loop

  1. Yahoo requires a [email protected] inbox setup to receive feedback and the verification code during the initial setup.

  2. After the postmaster inbox is created and accessible, please contact Listrak Support or your account manager.

  3. Listrak Support will fill out the Yahoo Feedback Loop creation form and you will receive a verification code from Yahoo. Once you receive the verification code it must be sent to Listrak Support in order to complete the Yahoo Feedback Loop request.
