Profile fields are used to collect and store information (such as first and last name, address, country, phone number, etc.) that can be used to displayed personalized content or used to filter contacts.

You can add a new profile field to an existing profile field group or create a new profile field group and add to that group.

New Profile Field Group Setup

A profile field group is a file folder that contains the individual profile fields. Use profile field groups to group similar type of information, such as ContactInfo or EmailEngagement.

โš ๏ธ The field group and field should have unique names to ensure they are easy to identify.

  1. Navigate to Contacts > Email Contacts Profile Fields.

๐Ÿ’ก Profile fields are exclusive to the list they are created on, be sure to select the correct list from list navigation dropdown menu.

  2. Click Create Field Group at the bottom of the page.

  3. Enter a Field Group Name for the field group, specific to the data that it's being used for.

    For example:

    1. CustomerInfo - would store all the data points related to a customer.

    2. Preferences - would store all the data points related to an Email Preference Center.

  4. Click Save.

  5. Add the desired fields with the applicable data types from the table below.

๐Ÿ’ก Use camel case instead of spaces to avoid the risk of
spaces creating special characters within HTML.
โ€‹ For Example: FirstName, LastName, MobilePhone, HomePhone.

  6. Click the Save icon to add each field.
