RCS Sender Agent Onboarding

This guide outlines the process to get your RCS program started with Listrak.

RCS (Rich Communication Services) allows eligible customers to receive branded mobile messages from a verified sender agent. Listrak coordinates the sender agent registration and provisioning on your behalf. This guide explains what your team will need to provide before the approval process can commence and what to expect throughout the onboarding process.

1 | The process at a glance

  • Prepare the required sender-agent registration information by reviewing the discovery questionnaire provided by your assigned Listrak onboarding manager, updating your website disclosures, and providing the required creative brand assets.

  • Provide the complete materials to your Listrak onboarding manager for review.

  • Listrak coordinates the registration and external review process through their Mobile Compliance team and our external aggregator partner.

  • Your business undergoes a two-step brand vetting process through Aegis Mobile, followed by Google verification before your application is sent for final carrier approval.

  • After approvals, Listrak coordinates activation and testing before you can begin sending RCS messages.

Planning estimate: Listrak generally advises allowing approximately 4–6 weeks for provisioning. Actual timing may vary with the completeness of materials, requested corrections, and external reviews.

2 | What your team must provide

Complete the RCS Sender Agent Provisioning Requirements form supplied by your assigned Listrak onboarding manager and provide your business’s most recent W-9.

⚠️ Please ensure that the information listed below matches your legal business records and your public-facing website.

Business and verification details

Legal company name, business address, company website, tax/business registration information, industry, entity type, and public-company information if applicable. Provide a designated verification contact with a direct mobile number, business email, and job title.

Sender agent profile

Brand name and proposed Sender Name (maximum 40 characters), business primary phone number, customer support email, website URL, public Privacy Policy and Terms of Service URLs, and brand color code for visual icons.

Messaging program

Estimated monthly volume; campaign description (maximum 100 characters); real sample messages with exact destination URLs; intended use case (promotional, or multi-use); hosting region; and billing category selection.

Approved creative assets

Logo: 224 × 224 px, JPG/JPEG/PNG, 50 KB maximum. Banner: 1440 × 448 px, JPG/JPEG/PNG, 200 KB maximum. Use a 32:10 banner ratio and allow space for logo overlap. Brand color should meet 4.5:1 contrast against white to meet accessibility guidelines.

3 | Website and messaging readiness

Before the sender agent application can be submitted to the external aggregator for approval, your public website and mobile messaging experience should accurately describe the type of program customers will be joining. Your Listrak onboarding manager may request additional updates and/or supporting screenshots or links for verification.

  • Identify every location where customers can opt in for mobile messaging. This can include, but not be limited to, website pop-ups, footer forms, checkout forms, account registration pages, landing pages, and keyword or QR-driven enrollment flows.

  • Ensure each mobile opt-in clearly identifies your brand and program name and the types of messages customers may receive. Consent must be an affirmative, optional action and must not be required as a condition of purchase.

  • Present applicable message frequency, “Message and data rates may apply”, “Consent is not a condition of purchase”, HELP and STOP instructions, and links to your Mobile Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

  • Confirm that welcome/opt-in confirmation, HELP, STOP, and opt-out confirmation messaging is accurate and consistent with your program and customer support contacts.

  • Ensure that your published Mobile Terms & Conditions describe the relevant promotional and/or transactional programs, message frequency, charges, customer care, and opt-out methods.

  • Ensure that your Privacy Policy addresses messaging consent data and, where cart reminders are used, how website activity or tracking technologies support those reminders.

  • Keep Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy links live, publicly accessible over HTTPS, and consistent with the links in your registration form.

Listrak will provide you with a sample Mobile Terms & Conditions document and supplemental language for your Privacy Policy page that contain the most up-to-date carrier and CTIA required language for your review and implementation.

Your organization is responsible for approving and publishing its own policies, with guidance from its legal counsel. An arbitration/class-action waiver sample may also be provided as an optional consideration however it is not mandatory as a RCS approval requirement.

5 | Before you send: Client readiness checklist

☐ Completed RCS Sender Agent Requirements form

☐ Most recent W-9 and accurate legal business information

☐ Designated verification contact available for questions

☐ Final logo, banner, and brand color supplied

☐ Live Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy with approved mobile messaging language

☐ All mobile opt-in locations and confirmation/HELP/STOP experiences reviewed

☐ Representative message examples and campaign URLs supplied

☐ Any requested website or registration corrections completed

This overview describes the standard process; individual programs may require additional documentation or review.
