Learn how to set up branding for your BigCommerce DNS account.

Adding the Listrak Domain Alias Branding Record

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Go to Server Settings.

  3. Then DNS Records

    1. Fully Qualified Host: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend link.yourdomainhere.com

    2. Time To Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  4. Click Add.

Adding the Listrak Bounce Domain Branding Record

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Go to Server Settings.

  3. Then DNS Records.

    💡 In some versions of the control panel, this is located under Setup & Tools > Advanced Tools > DNS Records.

  4. Click on Mail Servers.

  5. Select “I'm setting up an external email hosting solution.”

  6. Complete the following fields:

    1. Type: This should already be set at "MX."

    2. Fully Qualified Host: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend bounce.yourdomainhere.com

    3. Value: Enter the host name that the alias from the previous step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be bounce.esp1.co

      ⚠️ Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain. If it is not, you may experience issues with receiving emails on your internal network.

    4. Time To Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

    5. Priority: Enter the priority you want to assign to the mail server. For Listrak, we recommend a priority of 10.

  7. Click Add.

Adding the Listrak SPF Branding Record

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Go to Server Settings.

  3. Then DNS Records.

    💡 In some versions of the control panel, this is located under Setup & Tools > Advanced Tools > DNS Records.

  4. Click Web Hosts.

  5. Scroll down to the blank fields at the bottom of the list.

  6. Please complete the following fields:

    1. Type: Select “TXT” in the drop-down.

    2. Fully Qualified Host: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend bounce.yourdomainhere.com

    3. Value: Enter the host name that the alias from the previous step will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be v=spf1 include:esp1.co -all

      ⚠️ Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain. If it is not, you may experience issues with receiving emails on your internal network.

    4. Time To Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  7. Click Add.

Adding the Listrak DKIM Branding Record

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. Go to Server Settings.

  3. Then DNS Records.NOTE: In some versions of the control panel, this is located under Setup & Tools > Advanced Tools > DNS Records.

  4. Click Web Hosts.

  5. Scroll down to the blank fields at the bottom of the list.

  6. Complete the following fields:

    1. Type: Select “TXT” in the drop-down.

    2. Fully Qualified Host: Enter the subdomain for the TXT record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT Name and will most likely be “key1._domainkey.yourdomainhere.com”

    3. Value: Enter the host name that the alias from the previous step will point to. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the value.

      ⚠️ Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain. If it is not, you may experience issues with receiving emails on your internal network.

    4. Time To Live: Determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

  7. Click Add.

 Creating a Yahoo Feedback Loop

  1. Yahoo requires a [email protected] inbox setup to receive feedback and the verification code during the initial setup.

  2. After the postmaster inbox is created and accessible, please contact Listrak Support or your account manager.

  3. Listrak Support will fill out the Yahoo Feedback Loop creation form and you will receive a verification code from Yahoo.

  4. Once you receive the verification code it must be sent to Listrak Support in order to complete the Yahoo Feedback Loop request.
