NextGen Platform Contact Management
Updated over 3 months ago

Managing contacts in the NextGen Platform begins with the Contact Management page, here you can access all contacts regardless of subscription status or channel. This unified contact view also gives you the ability to segment on multi-channels using the same segmentation tool.

Having a consolidated, full list of all known subscribed and unsubscribed contacts will save you both time and effort when it comes to managing and engaging with your contacts.

Access the Contact Management page by navigating to Contacts > Cross-Channel All Contacts or by clicking the Contacts tab in the Segment Management page.

💡 If you have multiple organizations, you will need to select the correct organization from the dropdown menu.

Contacts Tab Page Navigation

The Contacts manager page contains all subscribed, unsubscribed and known contacts plus the ability to create segments using an extensive set of criteria.

  • Contacts Count (X profiles out of Y): This is the total number of contact profiles within an Organization. The number will vary based on the filters applied, if no segment is applied the numbers will be the same.

  • Search: Search for a contact by entering a partial or full email address or, partial or full phone number value.

  • Select Criteria: The option to build filters using demographic, engagement, product and predictive behaviors. Learn more about building filters.

  • Contact: The name, the email address(es), and phone number(s) of a contact. Any known identifier that Listrak can associate to a single user will roll-up to this single Listrak Identifier key value.

📌 Click anywhere within a row to view a Contact's individual profile. Check out this article to learn more about what information is available in the Contact Profile View.

  • Subscriptions: Denotes the contact's subscription status to any enabled channel - Email, SMS, Web Push, or App Push.

    • Subscribed: The channel icon is displayed containing a checkmark.

    • Unsubscribed: The channel icon is displayed containing an X.

  • Last Updated: The timeframe the contact's information was last updated; displayed in 'x minutes/hours/days ago'.

Contact Types

All types of contacts are displayed on this page. There are four types of contacts reflected:

  • Subscribers: A subscriber is a contact who is opted-in to any channel enabled within an organization. A contact may be opted-in with a single point of contact (e.g. email address) or multiple points of contact (e.g. email address and phone number).

  • Unsubscribers: An unsubscriber is a contact who is not currently subscribed within a channel enable within an organization.

  • Purchasers: A purchaser is a customer identified within the customer file, but may not have engaged with the marketing program.

  • Anonymous: An anonymous contact is identified only by a Listrak ID and does not have any point of contact tied to their behavior. These contacts have visited the site, but not taken any identifiable action, such as subscribing or purchasing.

💡 Helpful Tips

  • Page sort is defaulted by the Last Updated column value.

  • Changing the organization would result in a new list of contacts displayed on the page since contacts are owned by the organization.

    • Staying within an organization but changing the selected merchant would result in the same number of “All Contacts” being counted but the “Subscription” status column would be updated since subscriptions are managed at a merchant/site level.
