Learn how to set up branding specifically for Amazon Route 53 DNS accounts.

Adding the Listrak Domain Alias Branding Records

  1. Select the Route 53 service and click Create Hosted Zone. Then supply the domain to which you are making DNS changes.

  2. Select the “Hosted Zone” for your domain and click Go to Record Sets.

  3. In the “Record Sets” view, click Create Record Set.

  4. Next, fill out the following information in the form that displays:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend “link

    2. Type – From the drop-down menu, select “CNAME" – (canonical name).

    3. Alias – Set to “NO”

    4. TTL (Seconds) – “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind

    5. Value – Enter the host name value that the alias from step 5a will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be customers.esp1.co

  5. Click Create Record Set to save the CNAME record.

Adding Listrak Google Postmaster Tools Record

  1. Select the Route 53 service and click Create Hosted Zone.  Then supply the domain to which you are making DNS changes.

  2. Select the “hosted zone” for your domain and click Go to Record Sets.

  3. In the “Record Sets” view, click Create Record Set.

  4. Fill out the following information in the form that displays:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. You will receive an email from Listrak Support that contains the alias.

    2. Type: From the drop-down menu, select “CNAME – Canonical name.”

    3. Alias: Set to “NO”

    4. TTL (Seconds): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind

    5. Value: Enter the host name value that the alias from step 5.1 will point to. You will receive an email from Listrak Support that contains the host name.

  5. Click Create Record Set to save the CNAME record.

Adding the Listrak Bounce Domain Alias

  1. Select the Route 53 service and click Create Hosted Zone. Then supply the domain to which you are making DNS changes.

  2. Select the “Hosted Zone” for your domain and click Go to Record Sets.

  3. In the “Record Sets” view, click Create Record Set.

    💡 Make sure this record is being added as a subdomain.  If not, you may experience issues receiving emails on your internal network.

  4. Fill out the following information in the form that displays:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend “bounce

    2. Type: From the drop-down menu, select “MX – Mail Exchange.”

    3. Alias: Set to “NO”

    4. TTL (Seconds): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. You can leave this at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

    5. Value: Enter the host name value that the alias from step 5.1 will point to. For Listrak, this will need to be bounce.esp1.co

  5. Click Create Record Set to save the MX record.

Adding the Listrak SPF Branding Record

  1. Select the Route 53 service and click Create Hosted Zone.  Then supply the domain to which you are making DNS changes.

  2. Select the “Hosted Zone” for your domain and click on the “Go to Record Sets” button.

  3. In the “Record Sets” view, click Create Record Set.

  4. Please fill out the following information in the form that displays:

    1. Name: Enter the subdomain name for the alias assignment. For Listrak, we recommend “bounce

    2. Type: In the drop down, select “TXT – Text."

    • Alias: Set to “NO”

    • TTL (Seconds): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

    • Value: Enter the host name value that the alias from step 5.1 will point to. For Listrak, this should be “v=spf1 include:esp1.co -all

  5. Click Create Record Set to save the TXT record.

Adding the Listrak DKIM Branding Record

  1. Select the Route 53 service and click Create Hosted Zone. Then supply the domain to which you are making DNS changes.

  2. Select the “Hosted Zone” for your domain and click Go to Record Sets.

  3. In the “Record Sets” view, click Create Record Set.

  4. Fill out the following information in the form that displays:

    1. Name: Here you will enter the subdomain for the TXT record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT Name and will most likely be “key1._domainkey

    2. Type: From the drop-down menu, select “TXT – Text."

    3. Alias: Set to “NO”

    4. TTL (Seconds): “Time to Live” determines how long the server should cache information for this record. This can be left at the default setting unless there is a specific preference in mind.

    5. Value: Enter the value you want to be assigned to the record. You will be receiving an email from Listrak Support that contains the TXT value.

  5. Click Create Record Set to save the TXT record.

Creating a Yahoo Feedback Loop

  1. Yahoo requires a [email protected] inbox setup to receive feedback and the verification code during the initial setup.

  2. After the postmaster inbox is created and accessible, please contact Listrak Support or your account manager.

  3. Listrak Support will fill out the Yahoo Feedback Loop creation form and you will receive a verification code from Yahoo.

  4. Once you receive the verification code it must be sent to Listrak Support in order to complete the Yahoo Feedback Loop request.
