Below are suggested strategies that can be used in combination with your marketing or solution sends. Please keep in mind that these strategies may need to be adjusted based on the data that's being provided to Listrak. For example, if an on-sale flag isn't being passed, we won't be able to utilize a products sale status as part of a strategy. 

SUGGESTED STRATEGIES

PERSONALIZATION (FOR YOU) STRATEGY: This recipe strategy displays recent activity, similar items to that activity, and backup to top sellers. This suggested strategy is great for marketing sends and welcome messages. 

TIER 1

  • Select Recent Activity for the base recipe.
  • Select up to five of your last (Browsed, Abandoned) products being referenced.
  • No additional slider ingredients are necessary.

TIER 2 

  • Select Similar Products for the base recipe.
  • Select up to five of your last (Browsed, Abandoned) products being referenced.
  • No additional slider ingredients are necessary.
  • Use this recipe as a backup.

TIER 3 

  • Select Top Sellers (Last 30 Days) for the base recipe.
  • Select up to five of your last (Browsed, Abandoned, Purchased) products being referenced.
  • Adjust slider ingredients for: Same Brand, Same Category, and Same Subcategory to 90%.
  • Use this recipe as a backup.

CROSS-SELL STRATEGY: This recipe strategy uses co-occurrence purchase data to recommend products purchased by other customers that have purchased the reference products. This suggested strategy is useful for Post Purchase messages (using purchase activity), and Shopping Cart Abandonment (using abandoned activity).

TIER 1

  • Select Frequently Bought Together for the base recipe.
  • Select one of your last (Abandoned or Purchased) products being referenced.
  • No additional slider ingredients are necessary.

TIER 2 

  • Select Purchased This Purchased That for the base recipe.
  • Select one of your last (Abandoned or Purchased) products being referenced.
  • No additional slider ingredients are necessary.

TIER 3 

  • Select Top Sellers (Last 30 Days) for the base recipe.
  • Select one of your last (Abandoned or Purchased) products being referenced.
  • Adjust the slider ingredients for: Same Category (90%) and Different Subcategory (80%). 
  • Use this recipe as a backup.

UP-SELL STRATEGY: This strategy shows products similar to the reference activity that either have a higher margin, or at the very least are a higher price. (Great for a Product Page or Browse Abandon message) 

TIER 1

  • Select Top Sellers (Last 30 Days) for the base recipe.
  • Select one of your last (Browsed, Abandoned, and/or Purchased) products being referenced.
  • Adjust the slider ingredients to 100% for: Same Category, Same Subcategory, and Profit Margin. 

TIER 2 

  • Select Top Sellers (Last 30 Days) for the base recipe.
  • Select one of your last (Browsed, Abandoned, and/or Purchased) products being referenced.
  • Adjust the slider ingredients for: Same Category (100%), Same Subcategory (90%), and More Than Reference Price (90%). 
  • Use this recipe as a backup.

POPULAR PRODUCTS STRATEGY: This strategy is useful to show seasonal or trending products. The first tier is focused on the most recent and relative products, where as the backup casts a broader but still relevant net on popular products. 

TIER 1

  • Select Trending (Top 25% of Products in the Last 7 Days) for the base recipe.
  • Select Reference data that makes sense for the type of message.
  • Add personalization such as Specific Category (90%) to show popular products in that specific category. 

TIER 2 

  • Select Trending (All Products in the Last 30 Days) for the base recipe.
  • Select Reference data applicable to the type of message.
  • Use this recipe as a backup.
