The device performance widgets on the Message Dashboard allow you to view how contacts are engaging with your message based on their first open.  This data includes opens, reads, clicks, unsubscribes, visits, revenue, conversions, and more.

Device performance can be evaluated on a campaign by campaign basis by going to Analytics > Message Analytics > Message Activity > Message Dashboard (Icon to the far right beside any campaign).

Once a contact engages with a message for the first time, they will remain in the device category of their initial open. For example: if a contact opens a message on mobile and later reopens on desktop, their email metrics and conversions would be attributed to their initial mobile open.  If a contact first opens a message on desktop and then converts in a brick-and-mortar store with an email address that can be connected back to the campaign, that conversion would be attributed back to their initial activity on desktop.

Device Performance
The Device Performance widget honors the date range selection and breaks down campaign KPIs by device based on a contact's first open.

Engagement by Device
The Engagement by Device widget honors the date range selection and breaks down engagement by first open.

NOTE: "Other" includes non-standard devices such as Apple TVs and gaming consoles. It also includes Abuse and Bounced contacts with insufficient engagement data to determine a specific Desktop, Mobile, or Tablet Device. For this reason, you may see a high number of unsubscribes without an open associated with the "Other" device category.
