BACK-IN-STOCK 

  • Goal: The item the customer wants is back, recommend something they might want with it!

DISCONTINUED 

  • Goal: The item the customer wants probably won't be sold again, recommend something else they might like.

NURTURE 

  • Goal: While the item has been gone a while, however, you don't want to lose the customer, so recommend something similar. 

  • Base Ingredient: Similar Products, What's New, Trending (using the same attribute).

  • Backup Recipe: Top Sellers (using the same attribute). Please create a new recipe using the Top Sellers/Trending and apply this recipe to utilize Global Ingredients.

PRICE DROP 

  • Goal: This solution is usually treated separately from back-in-stock messages. Usually recommends complimentary up/cross-sell items or other sale items. 

  • Base Ingredient: Frequently Bought Together, Purchase This Purchase That.

  • Backup Recipe: Top Selling, Trending (using different attribute). Please create a new recipe using the above recipe(s) and apply this recipe to utilize Global Ingredients.

TIP: To ensure the recipe applied to the Merchandise Block uses the product featured in the email to determine which products to display, a custom URL variable should be appended to the product image URL and Link URL.
