The geo tracking map allows you to view the opens, reads, and clicks of your messages specific to country level, regionally, or by the postal code.

WHERE IT'S FOUND

Geo tracking can be found anywhere you see the Globe icon

This icon is available on Recent Messages, Message History Analytics, and the Conversation Location Analytics page. When accessed, the window opens with a map from MapQuest at a base country level.

USING THE MAP

You can filter the map by opens, reads, and clicks by using the filters on the top right corner. Once clicked, a list of emails will appear next to the map, which is determined by the filter you selected.

You can navigate the map by using the mouse to double-click on a designated area.

NOTE: Only one filter can be chosen at a time and are designated by colors. (blue: opens, purple: reads, yellow: clicks)

Once a region is selected, you are presented with a pop-up box based on the filter you are viewing.

For Example: United States – 57,407 (96.4%) Opens

To view the specific region of where the open, read, or click is coming from, click Zoom In. Once you are directed to a region after double-clicking further, you are given a zip code.

NOTE: You can zoom in on the Postal Code level after the prefix one. The X’s on the zip code are how MapQuest identifies the area. You may see your zip code as 17XXX.

VIEWING THE REPORT

To view the report, double-click on a highlighted area. Instead of choosing Zoom in, click View Report. The page behind the map pop-out will automatically update to the message details. This report will default to the filter you were viewing the map on.

Before viewing the report, it's important to select a date range to see all of the data. To set the date range:

  1. Click the drop-down menu and select a time frame.
  2. Then click Update.

MESSAGE DETAILS

Underneath the date range, there is a graph that allows you to see time frames in comparison. However, you can click on opens, reads, and clicks to show a different colored comparison. The graph gives a breakdown of the day and hour of the message details. Following the graph, the report is filtered by email, country, region, postal code, and open date. This allows you to search by a specific email, country, etc. The filters can be refined at the bottom of the dashboard to cater towards your results.
